Hiking & Trekking in Caldaro/Kaltern

The Hotel Seegarten is an ideal starting point for hikes at varying altitudes. With a hiking trail network of more than 120 kilometers, Caldaro leaves nothing to be desired: families can explore the nature adventure trail at the southern tip of Lake Caldaro, the Rastenbachklamm gorge or wander through the picturesque valley in spring. Want to go higher? Climb the mountains around Lake Caldaro and explore the untouched nature around the Mendelkamm ridge or eastward into the Dolomites.

The Caldaro High Mountain Trail, which starts at S. Nicolò/St. Nikolaus, offers beautiful views of the surrounding area. The "Wine Trail" leads those interested in culture through the vineyards of the area. Experienced hikers can climb the Roén, the Penegal or the Gantkofel mountains.
